The House Oversight Committee said on Wednesday that the White House is refusing to hand over the text of Joe Biden's speech in Ukraine in which he called for the firing of Ukrainian Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin.
“The White House refuses to hand over initial drafts of President Biden’s 2015 speech in Ukraine in which he called for the firing of Ukraine’s prosecutor general, Viktor Shokin.” The House Oversight Committee said.
“These drafts are important because it is believed, based on public reporting, that the then-Vice President ‘made an audible call’ and changed U.S. policy toward Ukraine in favor of his son during the plane ride to Ukraine,” the panel said. “Joe Biden later bragged about withholding US loan guarantee if Ukraine did not fire prosecutor.”
“For more than five months, the White House has refused to allow these draft letters to be produced by the Oversight Committee or to assert valid privilege over them,” the letter to White House counsel Edward Siskel said.
The House Oversight Committee said it “will consider using the coercive process” if Biden does not cooperate.
What are they waiting for??

In 2015, Joe Biden gave a speech to the Ukrainian parliament in Kiev in which he called for the dismissal of Ukrainian Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin.
Victor Shokin
“As the Prime Minister and the President have often heard me say, I do not tell another man or another country or another woman what is in their interest. But I can tell you, you cannot call me a single democracy in the world where the cancer of corruption is spreading. You cannot name Mine has one. They're completely inconsistent. It is not enough to establish a new anti-corruption office and establish a special anti-corruption prosecution. The Attorney General's Office is in urgent need of reform. The judiciary must be reformed. The energy sector needs to be competitive, governed by market principles – not friendly deals. Passing laws is not enough to increase transparency regarding official sources of income. Senior elected officials must eliminate all conflicts between their business interests and government responsibilities. “Every other democracy in the world — this system applies to them,” Biden said in his 2015 speech, according to the White House archives.
A few years later, while speaking on a panel before the Council on Foreign Relations, Joe Biden publicly bragged about bribing Ukraine with $1 billion to fire Viktor Shokin, the Ukrainian prosecutor who was investigating Burisma corruption.
Viktor Shokin was investigating Mykola Zlovchisky, the Ukrainian oligarch who owned Burisma Holdings, the natural gas company that was paying Hunter Biden millions of dollars in an influence-peddling scheme.
Biden aggressively pushed Ukraine to expel Shokin to protect his son Hunter and publicly bragged about the scalp.
I said: I'm leaving in six hours. If the prosecutor isn't fired, you won't get the money. Well, son of a bitch. “He was fired,” Biden said in 2018.
