Lil Pump, the American rapper famous for his songs, Gucci gangrevealed a new tattoo of Donald Trump that he obtained in honor of the former president on Wednesday, January 31, 2024.
The rapper took to Instagram to show off the ink he got on his right thigh. The tattoo shows Donald Trump apparently scowling and appears to be based on an image of the MAGA (Make America Great Again) leader, according to Billboard.
He simply captioned the post, “MAGA 🇺🇸 🇺🇸,” and fans were quick to criticize the rapper's seemingly reckless inking decision.
Lil Pump's Donald Trump tattoo is being mocked online
Lil Pump recently made headlines after he showed his devotion towards Donald Trump with a tattoo on his thigh. In a group of photos on Instagram, the rapper is seen smiling and showing off his ink.
The inspiration for the tattoo was a photo of Donald Trump, which was taken when the business mogul was arrested and booked in Fulton County, Georgia, in August 2023, after surrendering to authorities, according to Billboard.
Trump then voluntarily went to the police because of the connection with his indictment for alleged attempts to cancel the results of the 2022 elections in the state. The indictment is one of four charges, totaling 91 criminal charges, against Trump, court documents said.
Internet users were quick to express their opinions about the tattoo, criticizing Lil Pump's decision.
Lil Pump posted a photo of Trump on Instagram in solidarity with the latter in August 2023. “Trump is free” the rapper wrote in the caption in all caps.
Bump also previously called Trump “the greatest president ever” on Instagram in December of the same year.
The rapper has been a staunch supporter of Trump for nearly four years. In October 2020, he posted a video attacking President Biden's proposed tax policy aimed at making the rich pay more of their share. Then he released his song Lil pimp big maja steppin.
Donald Trump invited Bump to the stage at a rally in Michigan where the entertainer wore a MAGA hat.
Pump was seen in the video standing up to accept his applause. However, just before the polls opened for the 2020 election, the 20-year-old rapper was deemed ineligible to vote because he did not register in his home state of Florida in time, according to Newsweek.
The US election is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, according to CBS.
