Rain and storms are on the way for the weekend. But enjoy the last bit of our calm weather! Other than a bit of fog early, Thursday should be beautiful with mild temperatures near 70 degrees in the afternoon. Friday starts out dry with showers returning by the evening. Rain will increase through Friday night as the threat of street flooding decreases. Heavy rain and a round of strong storms are possible Saturday morning with possible street flooding. The risk of street flooding increases Saturday, especially east of Houston around Liberty and Galveston. These cities have been upgraded to a minor flood risk level of 15%. Rain continues Saturday afternoon and ends Saturday night. This means the second half of the weekend should be dry but breezy. Mardi Gras Galveston events kick off this weekend and the weather could cause some major issues at some events.
