DENVER (KDVR) — Mostly sunny skies will stick around for another day, helping temperatures rise above average on Wednesday. However, a change will arrive this weekend in the weather forecast for Denver.
Today's weather: mild and sunny again
Heavy sunshine will shine across much of Colorado Wednesday afternoon, with most places seeing above-average temperatures.
Metro highs will return to the lower 60s with light winds

Clouds will push across the Front Range and eastern Plains Wednesday night, but won't stick around past sunrise.
Overnight lows will drop into the lower 30s with a few spots along Interstate 25 dropping into the upper 20s.
LOOKING AHEAD: Weekend changes
Thursday will be another beautiful day with plenty of sunshine and an above-average high in the lower 60s. Clouds will enter the mountains late Thursday with snow rain falling overnight.
Snow will continue to fall in the higher elevations on Friday with partly cloudy to partly cloudy skies along the Front Range. Denver will reach highs in the 50s with a chance of evening rain.
Rain could turn to snow along I-25 through Friday night with slushy accumulation in the city.
The Front Range will see a shift back to rain on Saturday with highs climbing into the lower 40s. The mountains and even foothills could see the most snow with this system before it moves in early Sunday morning.

Accumulations will continue to vary, but there may be an inch or two maximum in the metro with a few inches along the Palmer Divide area and in the ridge.

The sky will gradually become clear and partly clear on Sunday afternoon, with the possibility of light rain on the plains.
More sunshine returns Monday with highs in the upper 40s. Above average temperatures return Tuesday as Denver returns to the low 50s with mainly sunny skies.
