Part of the University of Arkansas' land grant mission is to provide life-changing opportunities that lead to a better world. As one of the pillars of the university's 150 Futures strategic plan, student success is at the forefront of that mission and AU graduates leave the university better prepared to lead and succeed, according to a new ranking.
Time magazine AU is ranked as one of the best colleges for future leaders in the United States, ranking in the top 60 out of 100 schools, the top 30 public institutions, and accepting fellow SEC schools in Florida and Kentucky.
time Statista analyzed the resumes of 2,000 top leaders in the United States – politicians, CEOs, union leaders, Nobel Prize winners, and others from various sectors – to compile a list of the universities and colleges where they earned their degrees. The list is also weighted for school size.
Many of the colleges listed feature exceptional business programs, an area in which the Sam M. Walton College of Business has consistently excelled. For the past 22 years, The Walton College has been ranked among the top 30 public business schools, according to US News and World Report.
As well as setting records this year, the university also set a record for the number of degrees awarded, meaning more university graduates are entering the workforce than ever before. Of the recently graduated students in the study (Fall 2022 through Spring 2023), 87% reported that they were working full-time or had been accepted into a program to continue their education.
