Captain's Record: Star Date 2024-
It's been weeks since I've felt the warmth of the planet's closest star, and if it weren't for the daily dance between darkness and light, I'd wonder if it had gone out entirely.
We sent a team of highly trained forecasters from our Hudson Valley Weather team to investigate these endless, monotonous clouds that never seem to rise, as if we were ready for the sequel to Cheech and Chong's Up in Smoke.
Record the end.
Answer-
Although we may see some sun peaks here and there, they will remain elusive at best. It looks like our best chance for some partial clearing is Friday afternoon or evening, but the best day for clear skies appears to be Saturday. Additionally, we are also entering a period of drier weather as well, which should help dry out the spongy conditions that persist across the region a bit. Below are the GFS forecast precipitation totals between today and February 9, so overall with no changes, we're looking at an area of less than 0.20 inch wide for over a week, with most of the light precipitation occurring Thursday through Friday overnight as clippers pass through the area. It seems that the temperatures during this period will remain between +/- 2°-5° during this period, so we can call it dry season. I hope this brings a little virtual sunshine into your lives.
