Camera Obscura have announced their first new album in 11 years. the Desire lines Follow-up is called Look to the east, look to the west, and lands on May 3 via Merge. In 2015, after the death of keyboardist Cary Lander, the Camera Obscura went on a long hiatus. The band, led by guitarist and vocalist Tracyanne Campbell, produced the new album with Jari Happalainen, who produced the band's 2006 LP. Let's get out of this country And 2009 My career in Maudlin.
“Big Love is our tribute to Waylon Jennings, with a nod to Sandy Denny and the Rock Scoop band,” Campbell said in a statement. “It's a song about not looking back, and believing in the present and the future.”
