The 84th edition of SUNY Oswego's Fall Technology Conference, October 26-27, will feature the latest advances in instructional technology and a keynote plenary session by Robert Simons, Ph.D., Ph.D. Head of Social Impact and STEM Programs for Micron Technology and the Micron Foundation.
Provided by the Department of Technology, State University of New York Oswego, The conference welcomes teachers and professionals from different disciplines and school levels. Participants learn about technology and teaching techniques while networking with teachers and other professionals. The conference also includes commercial displays of the latest technologies for classrooms and laboratories.
The conference attracts approximately 400 participants with approximately 54 presentations expected and 84 different presenters on campus.

Conference keynote speaker, Dr. Robert Simons leads all of the social impact philanthropy in North America and STEM programs in Asia and North America for Micron Technology and the Micron Foundation. A renowned scholar of racial equity, STEM, and nonprofit leadership, Simons also serves as a resident scholar and antiracist praxis scholar at American University's College of Education, where he continues research in the Department of Education Policy and Leadership.
A member of the Diversity Scholars Network at the University of Michigan's National Center for Institutional Diversity, his 15 years of research has focused on racial equity, STEM education, and the lived realities of historically marginalized communities across multiple K-12 contexts. More specifically, it explores the experiences of Black students and teachers, equity in STEM, and the lived experiences of Black parents. He is also the founding director of the Center for Innovation in Urban Education at Loyola University.
