London: The Princess of Wales left hospital 13 days later and returned to her home in Windsor after being admitted for abdominal surgery.
Catherine, 42, who went to a London clinic for a planned surgery on Tuesday, January 16, is at her home in Windsor and is said to be making “good progress”.
A statement issued by Kensington Palace on Monday said that she had been discharged from hospital and “will continue her recovery from surgery.” She is making good progress.”
The palace said: “The Prince and Princess would like to extend their sincere thanks to the entire team at the London Clinic, especially the dedicated nursing staff, for the care they provided.”
“The Wells family remains grateful for the well wishes they have received from around the world.”
The princess, who is married to King Charles' eldest son, Prince William, was hospitalized with an undisclosed condition that is understood to be non-cancerous.
She is not expected to return to her official duties until after Easter, after several months of recovery. Several British media outlets reported that palace aides advised that any return would depend on medical advice sooner.
William had come to visit his wife in hospital, but her three young children were not seen coming and going, going to school as usual. He said he would also cut back on his work so he could support his wife's recovery until her care and recovery were settled.
