Shannon & the Clams have announced a new album titled The moon is in the wrong place. Arriving May 10 via Easy Eye Sound, it's the next installment for 2021 Year of the spider It was produced by Dan Auerbach of the Black Keys. The title track will be released today along with a video directed by Bobbi Rich. Check it out and find the LP cover and tracklist below.
In August of 2022, Joe Heiner, fiancé of bandleader Shannon Shaw, died in a tragic car accident just weeks before their wedding. “We all felt an urgent need to make something that would account for this meteorite that struck our planet,” keyboardist Will Sprott said in a statement. “This is the most focused record we've ever made, in terms of everything coming from a single traumatic event.”
