Weather: rain, fog entering
Advertisement We are waiting for the rain to end. Go away Gino. Well, how about some fog? Oh man, it is. Choose thickness. Know what you can do here? We have some gloomy weather to end the work week, and rain will continue over the next few hours. However, as night falls, once the rain ends, more fog comes. The fog will continue into tomorrow morning, but temperatures will remain steady around 40 degrees. So, all you snow lovers out there, looking outside your windows, you will continue to see the snow getting less and less. Or maybe if you're on the banks of a lake, you'll already have grass there. I also got a look at some of the Tower and Discovery World cameras. We have grass on the roof along the lake now. Here's this little pocket of showers moving toward the northeast. On the way back to the back side of this low pressure, there is an actual upper level disturbance moving across southern Wisconsin. That's why we still have those light showers. However, eventually, the dry air will start to move out which will push all the rain to the other side of Lake Michigan. But on the back side, with all that moisture we've seen during the day, the fog will start to come in from here. Right now, we have little pockets of light to medium occasionally where you get a little bit of yellow. This represents more consistent rain. Light to dark green is less heavy rain, but it's all across southeastern Wisconsin, so it will stick around for at least the next couple of hours. On top of what has already fallen. Overall, there is between a third and a quarter of a half inch of rain, and even some higher totals. Now these are radar estimates. Sometimes they overdo it, but about a half inch of rain is what we've seen in the last 24 hours. Now, as you get to 7:00, the back part of the rain starts moving in here, and then we start to get around some overcast skies, and that's when the fog moves in. So, when you wake up tomorrow morning, you'll probably go for a morning jog. You may encounter. Some of this low visibility and cloudiness will persist throughout the afternoon and evening hours. Extra rain of a tenth to a quarter at most on top of what we've already seen. So, it's not a huge amount, but we've peaked at over three inches now for the month. It's been a wet month about an inch and a half above normal. That's rain and melting snow across southeastern Wisconsin. So, as soon as the rain ends, the fog comes. Dense fog warning from 5:00 tonight until 10 a.m. Saturday. We've been dealing with fog a lot, and I don't have to tell you it won't be a lot of fun. Make sure the low beam headlights are on. I know Mark really likes to, you know, spread that out to people, especially during the afternoon hours. US 39 Sunday, Monday, 40 degrees may contain some peeks of sunshine, and a chance for a small wintry mix on Tuesday. Highs in the upper 30s. It's like I'm worried, will this affect my morning commute now, it doesn't seem like much. Even just in the accumulation of snowfall, there is a trace at most. Then some dry weather to end the work week next week. So, there's a little doom and gloom wrapping up this week. Next week, more sunshine.
