EASTHAMPTON, Mass. (WWLP) – Despite the wet and mild weather this week, it has snowed this month.

It wasn't a bad season but it could have been better. Although you may not see much snow outside your window now, ski areas have been able to make snow and there is a great deal of natural snow in northern New England.

What can we expect for February weather?

At Competitive Edge Ski and Bike Company in Easthampton, the weather is already affecting business, “It's been like a rollercoaster,” said Jim Kennedy, co-owner. “Before snow storms, we get really busy, and then during rain storms, we don't get as busy, so it was kind of everything.”

Despite the mild and wet weather, people are still coming to get their ski gear ready for the next snowfall. “Everyone is coming in to buy boots and refit etc. There are a whole bunch of new skis coming out and everyone is looking forward to it.” “They replaced their old skis with new technology, which is very exciting,” said Nick Lando of Competitive Edge.

If you're getting ready to hit the slopes anytime soon, there's plenty of ski gear available, skis, boots, and outerwear like jackets and gloves. Good news if you're a skier, it looks like we'll have more snow this weekend.
