Heavy rains sweeping the south
Days of heavy rain in the south have created a very serious threat of flooding. Texas and Louisiana saw the bulk of the rain, with floodwaters covering roads and closing some buildings. More rain is expected on Thursday in the same area, but things should start to ease up a bit by Friday.
More snow and rain return to the Northeast this weekend
After bringing a day or two of wintry weather to New England, more snow and rain are headed to the Northeast this weekend. Snow will be possible from Pennsylvania to Maine between Sunday and Monday. Even some towns along Interstate 95 could see some snow.
The first full moon of the year will rise tonight
If you don't have a lot of clouds around, you'll be able to see the first full moon of 2024 tonight. It is known as the Wolf Moon, but it also has many other nicknames – the Cold Moon, the Ice Moon, and the Super Moon.
