French duo Xavier de Rosnay and Gaspard Auger have announced their first album in nearly eight years. Excessive drama It drops on April 26 (via Ed Banger/Because Music. Commenting on One Night/All Night, Judge said in a statement: “This is Kevin [Parker] singing. That's the touchstone of this record. Like, okay, let's make a song that's all techno, and then it's all disco, and then it's all techno again. It's a bit like when you have a wine that doesn't go well with what you're doing and they're fighting for attention but still tastes good.
They added of “Generator”: “For us, this song sounds like 'Getaway' by Salsoul Orchestra, but with chattering vocals and classic 90s techno. We love all kinds of music which doesn't really do it justice. But I would say the two main ones are “The two musics that coexist in Justice from the beginning are disco funk and more electronic music. Especially in Generator, we make them coexist, but not in a really peaceful way. We like the idea of having them fight a little bit for attention.”
“I suggested to them, ‘What if we dive into it?’” Tammy said of the “One Night/All Night” clip. What if their music video was a journey into the cross? I dreamed of creating a piece like this. A strange and experimental object that resembles a glowing light inside the human lungs and shines light around the human heart.
