Jim Misudic, general manager of the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders, was honored by Fond du Lac's young professionals as one of the Future 5 for 2023 during a banquet at South Hills Golf & Country Club last Thursday.
The Future 5 has been named by YPF each year since 2013 to honor five Fond du Lac area young professionals between the ages of 21 and 40 “who are currently growing and excelling in their respective fields and will continue to positively impact growth.” and the future prosperity and quality of life of Fond du Lac County.
YPF is a program of Envision of Greater Fond du Lac, a Chamber of Merchants and community economic development organization. Other members of the 2023 Future 5 are Kim Presser of Mercury Racing, Grace Bruins of Horicon Bank, Rhannon Diederichs of First Weber Realtors – Fond du Lac, and Tyler Schulz of Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home.
Mesodic, a Fond du Lac native, has been the general manager of the Dock Spiders since returning to the area in 2021. Prior to taking the position with the Dock Spiders, Mesodic served as senior director of baseball communications with the Baltimore Orioles. . He has also worked in the media relations departments for the Atlanta Braves, Cincinnati Reds and Milwaukee Brewers.

The Dock Spiders are owned by Third Base Ventures, the same group that owns and operates the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Fond du Lac and the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, Mesodic began his professional baseball career as an intern with the Timber Rattlers in 2006.
