CHICAGO (WLS) — The ground stop was lifted for arrivals at Chicago's O'Hare Airport Thursday morning, as a dense fog warning was issued for the area throughout the day.
The ground stop went into effect around 8:15 a.m., and ended around 9:30 a.m
A Dense Fog Warning is in effect for the area until 6:00 PM Thursday.
A ground stop was in effect due to low visibility.

As of approximately 9:30 a.m., there were more than 100 cancellations at O'Hare, with delays of 15 minutes. There were nearly 100 cancellations at Medway, with delays of less than 15 minutes.
The foggy Thursday comes after a period of extreme cold and snow earlier this month.
The Chicago area is expected to see a lot of snowmelt soon, as temperatures rise, said Tracy Butler, a meteorologist with ABC7 in Chicago.
A flash flood warning is in effect for Will and Grundy counties until 9:15 a.m. Saturday.
The National Weather Service said an ice break on the Kankakee River near Wilmington appears imminent.
