As tennis evolves over time, it becomes part of the ever-changing landscape of the sporting world. Tennis has been a popular sport for decades, but the biggest question is not only the game's survival, but also its ability to thrive in the future. Recently, with the Australian Open underway, the tournament director expressed concern about the future of the sport.

Being a traditional sport, many people in the world of tennis are trying to elevate this sport so that it never loses its charm. But it's not that easy, and on this topic, Craig Tiley recently spoke about how they plan to create an ecosystem for a better future for tennis.

As the first Grand Slam of the year draws to a close, the Australian Open director has called for some major changes to tennis globally, just to speed up the sport. Besides, he took this step so that he could attract young fans and perhaps grow in a better way. In an interview with the Herald Sun, he spoke about his thoughts behind the idea.

He mentioned:I always believe that if there is the right money in the ecosystem, it will attract more people to play – more players make more money. “We will play a role in the Australian Open and events here, but we also want to play a global role because we believe we can make a difference and create change.”

Then he added, “So, yes, I think there is a need for change, there is a list of things that need to change, and if that doesn’t happen our sport will eventually lose.” Moreover, he also explained how having events where players have to sit out after a match can be a problem for them.

However, in order for this sport to remain alive and continue for future generations, the AO Director is thinking of changing and introducing new developments to the game. Not only that, but last year, Serena Williams' former coach spoke about his game-changing idea to improve the future of tennis.

Last year, in an interview, Patrick Mouratoglou He opened up about his dream with UTS. He said in a candid interview: “My dream is for UTS to be together with the ATP, and to do a traditional tour, as we have already done, which I think is beautiful and wonderful for all traditional tennis fans, and next to it, another tour, which is UTS, dedicated to bringing young fans and new fans, to become Tennis fans.

He talked about how the league he created could help reinvent the game of tennis, but at the same time, it would also have traditional roots attached to it. He added that if they all worked together and held one month-long competition with each round, the future of tennis would not be better secured in no time.
