“Sterling Matthew is serving a life sentence… now in Cumberland for someone he killed on Halloween… I had a Glock 17 and a 25 caliber that night they killed Daquan. “I did it in 2010… Lil Sterling doesn't do that “Antonia Hart claimed.
According to Hollywood Unlocked, Antonio Hart did a TikTok Live during a standoff with law enforcement, during which he took hostages and refused to surrender. But the police later found him dead.
In the wake of the now-viral video, netizens shared their diverse opinions. Someone commented under @hollywoodunlocked's Instagram post on the same, wishing that the wrongly acquitted Sterling Matthew would be released from prison soon.
'Why would you do that in the first place?': Netizens react to Antonio Hart's TikTok Live confession to murders
On Saturday morning, Baltimore Police responded to several 911 calls reporting domestic violence in the 4800 block of Greenville Square. When they arrived, they realized that a 31-year-old man named Antonio Hart was holding four people hostage.
He also refused to cooperate with the authorities and asked them to step down because he was armed. After lengthy negotiations, Antonio Hart released three hostages unharmed. Later, the fourth person managed to escape on his own. The middle-aged woman was seriously injured and taken to a local hospital, according to Hollywood Unlocked.
After several attempts when Hart continued to refuse to surrender, the Tactical and Crisis Negotiation Team finally broke through the house several hours later and found Antonio Hart dead.
However, he did do a TikTok live stream during his last few hours, where he admitted to killing Daquan on Halloween 2010, for which Sterling Matthew is currently serving a life sentence in Cumberland, according to his statement. Antonio also admitted that he was the one who carried the weapons used in the shooting, which were a Glock 17 and a .25 caliber.
“I love you Woo Baby but he doesn't do that. Big Rambo did this thing in 2010 and he stomped on it,” he added.
As of now, it remains unclear whether he refers to himself as Big Rambo or if he is one of his accomplices. However, Woo Baby most likely refers to the wrongly convicted Sterling Matthews, as understood from the context.
Meanwhile, he also admitted to committing another murder in 2011 and three more around the same time, all by shooting. Hart also said he wants to make sure his confessions get out to the world so innocent people can be released.
Since TikTok Live came online, netizens have had mixed reactions to it. Some say it was a suicide note, others believe his guilt was consuming him. Here are some comments in this regard from the tweet of @KameronBennett sharing the viral video.
Notably, at the end of the nearly two-minute video, Antonio showed a wound on his chest, as he collapsed in front of the camera.
To date, the circumstances surrounding his death remain undisclosed and are under investigation along with the video statements he made. Autopsy reports are also still pending.
