Throughout the week, we're updating our Best New Songs playlist with the new releases that caught our attention the most, whether it's a single that preceded an album release or a newly unveiled deep dive. And every Monday, we round up the best new songs released over the past week (the eligibility period begins Monday and ends Sunday night) in this best-of-new-music roundup.

On this week's set, we have the lead single from Kim Gordon's new album, “BYE BYE,” where hip-hop's bombastic beats collide with deadpan vocals and eerie guitar; Adrienne Lenker's comforting new song, “Sadness as a Gift,” will lead her upcoming album Promising future; Chelsea Wolfe's “Everything's Turning Blue,” another haunting song from her upcoming album; Tomato Blossom’s “Saint,” who feels mad, detached, and contemplative at the same time; Jlin's “The Precision of Infinity,” a collaboration with Philip Glass that combines frenetic drums with elegantly moving piano; “coelacanth”, the elegantly orchestrated and explosive opener from Glass Beach's second album; And “GUILTY,” the stunning first single from the upcoming Moor Mother album, featuring ukulele from Mary Lattimore and vocals from Lonnie Holly and Raya Wass.
