CBS Detroit – More wintry weather is on the way, but we'll see warmer temperatures, too.
Some light snow is possible during the day Monday, especially north of M-59 with minor accumulation before the system brings widespread precipitation movements through Monday night.
Freezing rain, snow, sleet, and rain are possible as temperatures rise throughout Tuesday. We can expect to see mostly snow north of I-69 and mostly rain south of I-94 all the way to the Ohio border. Between I-94 and I-69 is the transition area where we may see all forms of precipitation before the system exits.
Motorists should expect some icy roads, which could slow down your commute Tuesday morning.
As warmer air moves in, the precipitation will turn into full rain. Scattered rain is expected on Wednesday and Thursday.
On the bright side, we expect to see high temperatures exceeding 40 degrees this weekend.
