I'm highlighting Nikki Haley's hat, which can be yours if you shell out a few bucks for her pathetic campaign. This cover sums up her campaign. Just to be clear. I don't support Nikki and I don't think she would be a fit president. It is obnoxious and unprincipled. The hat says it all – this campaign is about her, not America.
Look at Trump's campaign hat.
Yes. It prominently features his name but also repeats the 2016 message — Make America Great Again. I realize that anyone running for president does not lack an ego. But Trump, unlike Haley, stresses the need to reverse America's apparent decline. Nikki is part of the John McCain and Lindsey Graham crowd who enjoy involving the United States in foreign wars. Trump, for all his faults, remains pragmatic and understands that the United States must negotiate with other countries, including Russia, China, North Korea, and Iran.
With Ron DeSantis and Vivek Ramaswamy out of the race and endorsing Trump, it's safe to say Trump will secure the nomination — jail or no jail. Nikki Haley is likely to make a strong showing in New Hampshire because it is an open primary. This means that Democrats and independents who will vote for Joe Biden can cross over and vote for her. This is likely to happen. Consider these numbers. In the 2020 primary, Trump received 129,734 votes, representing 84% of the vote. In 2015, Trump won 34% of Republican voters with 100,406 votes.
It is not known how motivated Democrats will be to come out forcefully and vote for Haley. Even if they did it wouldn't make a difference in later competitions. I think the Trump camp welcomes the challenge. Getting him out on the campaign trail and interacting with voters builds enthusiasm. All the anti-Trumpers have is their hatred for Trump. The ship has sailed. A majority of Americans, including Democrats on this count, are increasingly concerned about the influx of illegal immigrants and rising drug overdose death rates thanks to the influx of fentanyl.
The Democratic vote will be split in three directions — those who support Joe Biden, those who support Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and the as-yet-unnamed “savior” of the “No Posters” crowd. No Posters members truly believe they will turn out more Trump voters than Biden voters. I don't buy it.
