The Chiefs and Bills are no strangers to severe weather.
The Bills' wild-card game against the Steelers was postponed one day due to heavy snow last weekend, while the Chiefs played the fourth-coldest game in NFL history against the Dolphins. They both won, no doubt helped by their experience of playing in difficult conditions.
Neither team will get much rest this weekend, as Sunday's Divisional Round matchup between the Super Bowl contenders will take place in Buffalo.
Here's the weather forecast for Sunday's game at Highmark Stadium, including temperature and snowfall forecasts.

Weather updates for Chiefs vs. Bills
The Chiefs and Bills got lucky, as they will play on a rare day with almost no chance of snow in Buffalo. The temperature is expected to reach 26 degrees in Buffalo on Sunday, with winds of 8-10 mph and a very small chance of rain, according to the National Weather Service. The temperature at the start is expected to be close to 23 degrees.
While the number 23 is certainly a freeze, it's not something these two teams — or their fans — aren't already used to. The Bills had to play in the aftermath of a massive snowstorm last week, and they played a snowy game in the divisional round last season. Meanwhile, the expected wind chill of 14 degrees represents a significant improvement from what the Chiefs saw last week when the wind chill dropped to -27 at Arrowhead Stadium.
There's no snow in the forecast for Sunday, but that doesn't mean snow hasn't gotten in the way of preparations for the Highmark Stadium game. The Bills once again put out a call for volunteer snow shovels starting Friday, after more snow fell in the area during the week.

The task at hand likely won't be as daunting this week, as Buffalo is not expected to receive more than an inch of snow on Saturday. If the fans and staff can ride out last week's storm, Sunday's game will undoubtedly start without a problem.

How cold is it in Buffalo for Chiefs vs. Bills?
Compared to last week's weather in Kansas City and Buffalo, Sunday's game may look mild for these two rivals.
Temperatures are expected to reach nearly 23 degrees near kickoff for Chiefs vs. Bills, with the wind chill making it feel like 14 degrees. It's cold, no doubt, but that's the weather both teams are preparing for at this stage of the season.
It was about the same temperature for Buffalo's wild-card win over the Steelers, but the Bills' offense didn't look too bothered. Josh Allen still attempted 30 passes even with a big lead for most of the game, throwing three passes. The running game was active with 34 carries between James Cook, Ty Johnson and Allen, but that has been a trend in Buffalo since Joe Brady took over as the team's offensive play-caller.
The Bills would love to put themselves in a position to take an early lead and be able to run the ball heavily on Sunday, but that rarely seems to be the case for Buffalo or Kansas City when these two heavyweight quarterbacks face off.
