With the appointment of Bill O'Brien, I think it is abundantly clear that Hartline is being given every opportunity to learn and grow in his role as leader. I fully expect Bell to only be here 2-3 years max before returning to the NFL…..and by that time Hartline should be well prepared to be the only OC. Another thing I truly believe will happen in the future that may result in lower votes from the EW community……I believe Brian Hartline will one day be the head coach of the Ohio State football program. I think Ryan Day will want to explore coaching in the NFL at some point (maybe 5-7 years down the line) and Hartline will be groomed to take over.
