Smartphones could get even smarter this year, as the next influx of artificial intelligence will saturate devices that accompany people wherever they go. During Wednesday's unveiling of the emerging era of its top models, Samsung, the biggest rival of Apple and its iPhone, offered a quick look at how smartphones are evolving.
Trying to close the deal for the Galaxy S24 lineup revolves around a variety of new features fueled by AI.
“We are introducing a new era where AI has become the overwhelming focus,” said Drew Blackard, vice president of mobile device management at Samsung.
Other than highlighting Samsung's own work in AI, the S24 series will be packed with the latest developments emerging from Google. The mechanical upgrades will increase the cost of Samsung's first smartphone, the Galaxy S24 Ultra, which will be worth $1,300 — an increase of $100, or 8%, over last year's comparable model.
This progress reflects how apple It managed its most impressive model, the iPhone 15 Pro Max, which was delivered in September. Samsung is sticking to the stability of the expenses of the Galaxy S24 Plus phone, which will be sold at a price of $1,000, and the price of the regular Galaxy S24 phone will start at $800.
All new Galaxy phones, which will arrive in stores on January 31, will be equipped with more artificial intelligence than before, including a component that provides real-time translation during calls in 13 languages and 17 dialects. The Galaxy S24 setup will offer Google's “Circle To Look” feature which involves using a computerized cursor to circle parts of messages, parts of photos or recordings for instant highlight results.
