During the episode, when the members and Na Young-suk PD sat on a bench in a cafe talking about the various members, Mingyu revealed the story behind how Pledis chose him. When he was a teenager, his mother seemed to have had a hard time raising him, even going to churches to pray for someone else to take care of her son.
Surprisingly, a week later, he was picked up by Pledis Entertainment, and the idol jokingly added that his mother's prayers came true and the agency continued to raise him from now on.

As with many other teenagers during their adolescence, the idol was also a difficult child for his mother to handle.
Mingyu even said that his rebellious phase drained his mother to the point that she would visit churches and pray for someone else to raise Mingyu. It seems that her prayers worked perfectly as the idol was picked up by Pledis Entertainment after just one week, and then continued to grow under the agency's care.
Since entertainment agencies usually took full responsibility for trainees' expenses and other needs such as food, living space, lesson fare, etc., Mingyu was literally lifted from his mother's duties. However, the idol soon realized how much he loved and appreciated his mother.
