Minneapolis – It's going to be another very cold Friday, but there's a big warm-up coming up.
High pressure in the Great Plains began to slowly move eastward, helping to clear the clouds later Friday evening.
High temperatures will remain in the single digits above zero with overnight lows near or below zero.
Wind chill warnings are in effect Friday night for southeastern and southwestern Minnesota due to temperatures as low as -30 below zero.

Expect plenty of sunshine on Saturday, but highs will only be in the lower 10s.
By Sunday, this high pressure area moves eastward, allowing for warm winds.
Temperatures will be more seasonable with highs near 20. However, wind gusts will reach 35 mph, so wind chills will not exceed the single digits.
There is an increasing possibility of another system bringing snow, or perhaps rain, across southern Minnesota through Tuesday.
The mild pattern looks set to continue for the rest of January with highs in the 30s throughout next week.
