Jim Harbaugh, the celebrated head coach of the University of Michigan Wolverines, the last national champion, joined the annual “March for Life” rally in Washington, D.C., on Friday.
The March for Life is an annual march and rally held in Washington, D.C., which is a protest against the legality and practice of abortion. The parade is held on or near the anniversary Roe v. Wadea 1973 Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion across the country.

“Thank you all for coming out. It's a great example you're setting. It's a testament to the sanctity of life. It's a great day to march. It's a great day. This is football weather. Let's go,” Harbaugh said forcefully.

This is not the first time Harbaugh has publicly expressed his pro-life stance. In 2022, he and his wife Sarah spoke at a “Plymouth Right to Life” event, where he shared how his pro-life beliefs were rooted in his upbringing. Harbaugh is a devout Catholic and often links his faith with his views on life and death.
During the event, Harbaugh quoted from the Bible, reinforcing his belief in the sanctity of life: “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you. Before you were born, I marked you. I made you a prophet to the nations.” He stressed the importance of respecting life from conception to natural death.
In an interview with ESPN's Gene Wojciechowski, Harbaugh explained his priorities and views on the abortion debate.
He said: “Faith, family, football… those are my priorities.” The issue of abortion is a very big issue and needs to be talked about. He needs a serious conversation. what do you think? what I think? What do others think?
“It's a life-or-death issue. I believe in people's opinions and respect them. But let's hear them. Let's discuss it because there is passion on both sides of this issue. So when you combine that with respect, that's when the best results come out,” he added.
