Why the sudden change in talking points, Joe?
The failed president seems to have suddenly had a change of heart during the election season.
The New York Post reported,
President Biden told reporters on Friday that the US-Mexico border is not secure — contradicting Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas — after endorsing “massive changes” in immigration policy.
“No, it's not,” Biden said when asked if the border was secure after remarks by a bipartisan group of mayors in the East Room of the White House.
During his speech, the 81-year-old Biden said he hoped Senate negotiators would announce a compromise next week on border policy as part of a broader $106 billion additional spending request that would also fund military aid to Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan.
“I believe we need significant policy changes at the border, including changes to our asylum system to ensure we have the powers we need to control the border. I am ready to act,” the president said.
Biden went on to address House Republicans with a question that may seem fairly obvious.
Now the question is for [House] Loudspeaker [Mike Johnson] And Republicans in the House of Representatives: Are they ready to act, too? Biden added.
“They have to choose whether they want to solve a problem or continue to use the issue as a weapon to score political points against the president. I am ready to solve the problem. “I really am,” he added. “Massive changes, and I mean that sincerely.”
According to opinion polls, Biden's handling of the migrant crisis has received poor approval ratings after a record year in illegal crossings in December.
Mayorkas, whose Department of Homeland Security manages border policy, angered Republicans last spring when he repeatedly claimed that “the border is secure” with record numbers of aliens crossing illegally.
Despite appearing to disavow Mayorkas' allegations, Biden defended the head of the Department of Homeland Security when asked about House Republican efforts to impeach and remove him, telling reporters on Friday, “I don't understand it.”
Secretary Mayorkas' refusal to follow laws passed by Congress and his betrayal of the public trust have led to unimaginable human suffering and loss.

They're all words from Joe Biden and Mayorkas.
Meanwhile, the invasion continues.
