Enter or access the weather here in an instant. But a quick update from Cincinnati Police. They have implemented their own automatic emergency accident transfer procedures. Basically, if there are no infections, just exchange information and move on. But of course, if there are any injuries in the accident, call the police, and know that you will get some help. But if you go out and have an accident, just be careful out there. This is a great point. Now let's turn to meteorologist Randy Rico because we're starting to see the end of this snow. It's coming through Indiana now, but it will take a few more hours maybe. It's a slow rotation here. Yes. You know the snow wasn't too heavy for us. No, but it has been going on since 11:00 midnight. And with our cold temperatures, every little piece of it has become stuck together. So I have a total snowfall of about an inch and a half to three inches of snow. As we look at the radar, we're finally seeing some breaks in the action, especially as you head back into southeastern Indiana. Even Todd noticed that Todd had been on the roads for us since 4 a.m. and said, hey, this is like the first decent break they've ever had. Well, this will start to become more common between now and noon. So we go from what was very consistent snow to more scattered snow to eventually some flurries. So, over the last hour or so, as you can see, we're starting to see some breaks in the work going toward the Ohio-Indiana state line, and even in terms of traffic, we've noticed a slight increase in the green on the map as our snowfall rates have been able to Slowly slow down a little bit. Checking out our snow machine, which identifies areas that are seeing a little more snow than others, this is definitely more spotty than it used to be. right. So you can see here parts of Brown and Adams County are still seeing a small amount of snow there and maybe it's picked up a little bit here with 74 falling, 275 there near Harrison and through Colerain. But we're looking west here. We're looking towards Indy. I just checked the latest observations, and yes, there are still reports of snow showers across much of Indiana, but they are becoming much fewer and farther away. So, as expected, we arrived between 10am and noon and started to see rain, and the snow became more scattered once we got into the afternoon. The flashes will stick around. Winter weather warnings remain in effect, due to the impact that snow clearly has on travel and road conditions. Still covered in snow into the evening which shows the roads are getting better, right? The snow has stopped falling, and road crews can do what they can. Be aware that our temperatures are still cold this evening, so if you're heading outside, know that if it looks like ice, it's definitely still slippery because we won't reach freezing point until Monday. So, if you want to, okay, we'll wait for this, and the snow will melt. You'll spend the whole weekend with this snow. Our future broadcast shows snow showers moving into the afternoon and eventually things will calm down for us. So, during lunchtime, the snow turns fluffy, and a drop or two could accumulate for another half-inch, but I think most places will see less than that this afternoon. Rounds of fluctuations as temperatures drop and wind chills drop below zero tonight. So we go from snow and travel being the concern this morning to another round of wind chill advisories for Saturday. The morning wind chill can reach 7 to 10 degrees below zero, so beware, kids have morning sports on Saturday as the wind chill stays below zero until noon. There's a warm-up on the way, but it won't even get here
