We will see another day with temperatures in the lower 40s across the Denver metro area.

But changes will arrive early Thursday afternoon, with temperatures dropping quickly.

We're looking at temperatures in the teens and single digits by Thursday evening, with breezy conditions.

We have avalanche warnings in effect for higher elevation areas and wind chill warnings for the eastern Plains through Thursday evening. (The wind chill factor is expected to be around 15 below zero)

Overnight lows will drop to single digits in the metro by Friday morning.

We'll see cooler conditions on Friday, with highs near 30 degrees in metro Denver, with partly cloudy skies.
