“This was the first song I wrote after it was released What kind of blue are you?“I was feeling a little stuck at the time,” Samira Winter said in a statement. “I took a songwriting class with Phil Elverum and the assignment was to write a song that had two sharply parallel sections. The lyrics were written as if I was watching myself as a teenager, watching someone go through her parents' divorce, and reliving that feeling of my reality being shattered. This song is Unload this pain you felt.
