Sheryl Sandberg, Chief Operating Officer of Meta Platforms Inc. The long-time veteran, who left in September 2022 after 14 years, now leaves the company's board.
Sandberg, who announced her departure in a Facebook post, will become an informal advisor to the company in May.
“With a heart full of gratitude and a mind full of memories, I allow Meta META,
“The board knows that I will not run for re-election next May,” Sandberg wrote on Facebook.
In April, Sandberg said she was part of an investor group that acquired the National Women's Soccer League's Bay Area expansion franchise.
