NORTH ALABAMA (WHNT) – A winter storm battered parts of the Tennessee Valley throughout the day Monday, dumping snow and ice across much of the region.
Along with coverage from our team, News 19 received photos from viewers and dedicated weather spotters as the winter storm moves into Monday and the Arctic blast settles in on Tuesday.

While reporters work to keep people informed during the storm, one News 19 reporter celebrated for the first time! Reporter Darrell Burke, born in Florida, was able to experience snow for the first time.
