Very cold air arrived in New Orleans and southeastern Louisiana. It will be much colder with strong winds bringing dangerous wind chills to the area. As cold air moved in, wintry precipitation in the form of freezing rain, sleet and sleet was found across much of southeastern Louisiana, closing portions of some major highways.
