All 50 states are feeling temperatures below freezing Wednesday morning

All 50 states reported temperatures below zero on Wednesday, and some of those temperatures even broke records.

Old Man Winter wakes up looking grumpy as every state in the US reported freezing temperatures on Wednesday morning.

Cold air blanketed the country Tuesday night, dropping temperatures to or below freezing — some of which broke record levels, the FOX Forecast Center said.

More than 200 million Americans will see below-average temperatures on Wednesday, but a “warm-up” is on the way as only 80 million will be below average on Thursday.

Temperatures hit record lows on Wednesday

You can feel winter approaching as cold air moving into the United States from Canada this week brought the first major lake-effect snowstorm of the season to the Great Lakes region and parts of the Northeast.

Nearly 4 feet of snow fell in parts of New York State, and blowing snow was reported as far south as New York City.

Winds topple the National Christmas Tree at the White House

Winds toppled the National Christmas Tree ahead of the annual lighting, the National Park Service said Tuesday.

The wind made it even colder with wind chills falling on teens in the eastern United States

What temperature does it feel like?

Cold temperatures broke records in many parts of the eastern United States on Wednesday morning.

The temperature in Danville, Virginia, dropped to a bone-chilling 15 degrees, breaking the old record of 17 degrees set in 1955.

Cities in Kentucky, such as Jackson, also reported new highs Wednesday morning with a low of 21 degrees.

Other cities, such as Charlotte, North Carolina, came close to hitting a record high of 23 degrees.

There is another cold morning expected on Thursday

It will be another cold morning on Thursday as much of the country once again sees temperatures at or below freezing.

Temperatures in Chicago and Cincinnati should be below freezing Thursday morning, with New York City very close.

Farther south in the mid-Atlantic, Raleigh, North Carolina, can feel really cold, with temperatures expected to reach 26 degrees in the morning.
