Adrianne Lenker has announced a new album titled Promising future. Following the leader of The Big Thief until 2020 Songs And Instruments It is scheduled to arrive on March 22 via 4pm. Along with the previously revealed song “Ruined” and the original recording of Big Thief’s “Vampire Empire,” it will feature the new single “Sadness as a Gift.” Check it out and see the album cover and tracklist below.
Co-produced by Philip Weinraub, Promising future Includes contributions from Nick Hakim, Mat Davidson and Josephine Runstee, who join Lenker in the Double Infinity analogue studio. “It felt like everyone's nervous system had been fired up,” Lineker said in a statement about the recording process. “Once we were into the song, we somehow knew. No one stopped taking. We didn't listen again. I only listened after everyone left.
