Alec Moser, the actor known for “All My Children” and the 2010 comedy “Grown Ups,” has died by suicide, officials said.
He was 50 years old.
His fiancée, Paige Press, confirmed his death on Saturday via Instagram Stories.
“Rest in peace to the love of my life. I will never stop loving you,” Bryce wrote. “My heart is so broken.”
Moser was found dead at his home in Del Mar, California, on Saturday. Press found him on the bathroom floor and called 911, the coroner's report states. Paramedics and law enforcement responded and confirmed death.
The manner of death was ruled a suicide, the San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office said in a news release.
Moser played Dale Henry on the ABC television series All My Children from 2005 to 2007, appearing in a total of 43 episodes. He got the role after winning the second season of the SOAPnet original series “I Want to Be a Soap Star.”
Moser also appeared in the film “Grown Ups” starring Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Chris Rock, Rob Schneider and David Spade. He played the character of the water park patron in an unforgettable scene from the comedy film, which starred Salma Hayek, Maya Rudolph, Maria Bello, and Joyce Van Patten.
In an Instagram post, Sandler paid tribute to Moser, saying: “I loved this man. I can't believe he's gone. Such a wonderful, funny good man. Thinking of Alec Moser and his family and sending them all my love. A true great sweetheart of a person.”
In addition to “All My Children,” Moser starred in the television series “Rita Rocks” and “Desperate Housewives.” He also had a career in fitness modeling and was a bodybuilder. His Instagram account documented his active lifestyle, which included surfing and skateboarding.
Moser was born in New York City, raised in New Jersey, Connecticut, and San Diego, and graduated from the University of San Diego.
He is survived by his fiancée.
