The Indianapolis area is seeing dangerously low wind chill temperatures this morning and could see a bit of snow Monday evening, the National Weather Service in Indianapolis says.
The temperature is currently -5 degrees according to the NWS, with winds making it feel as low as -25 degrees. A wind chill warning has been issued until noon, with the weather service warning that frostbite could develop in less than 30 minutes.

During the day, Indianapolis can expect to see partly cloudy skies and a high of 5 degrees.
Strong winds that exceeded 20 mph over the past few days are expected to subside, dropping to about 6 mph, according to NWS forecasts.
Late Monday evening, a fast-moving front could bring between a half inch to one inch of snowfall to the Indianapolis area, creating dangerous driving conditions on untreated roads.
The National Weather Service says the probability of snowfall is 60%. Meteorologists expect the winds to arrive between 10pm and 1am
The minimum temperature at night will be 4 degrees.
Forecast for Tuesday and Wednesday
Temperatures are not expected to warm much on Tuesday, with a high of 9 degrees and winds of -16 amid variable clouds.
On Wednesday, we feel some relief, with sunny skies and temperatures expected to rise to 25 degrees. However, wind speeds can reach 30 mph.

There is a 20% chance of snow overnight Wednesday and a 50% chance on Thursday.
