Manchester-based artist Nina Cobham has released a new single called “Effort In”. Co-produced by Frankie Scocca, the track comes with a visual directed by Isaac Oliver Robinson. Check it out below.
“Some songs take a long time to finish because a verse doesn't feel right, so I'll revisit it with new lyrics until I feel it's right,” Cobham explained in a statement. “It usually falls into place easily when it has room to breathe!” She added that “effort” is about realizing that you are asking for the bare minimum, and realizing that you deserve better. It was an observation that I tend to reciprocate what I receive. It was a moment of, 'This is not going anywhere, because it's a course we're both rooting for, and neither of us cares much.'
“Effort In” will appear on Cobham’s upcoming EP beforewhich arrives February 9 via AWAL.
