Defense Secretary Grant Shapps accused the Houthis of “bullying” in the Red Sea, as he suggested the UK was open to carrying out further air strikes in Yemen.

Asked by Sky News' Kay Burley whether the government was planning to escalate the measure, Shapps said no, but insisted the UK would “monitor the situation very carefully”.
“He added: “Our intention is not to go to Yemen or anything like that, but simply to send a very clear and unambiguous message to the Iran-backed Houthis that their behavior in the Red Sea is completely unacceptable.”
