Gaya (Bihar) [India]January 14 (ANI): Actor Sanjay Dutt recently performed the song 'pind daan' at the Vishnupad temple in Gaya, Bihar.
On Saturday, the actor took to his Instagram account and shared a video of the ritual.
He also wrote a heartfelt caption that read, “Honoring our ancestors with Pind Dhan in the sacred land of Gaia. A spiritual journey to reconnect with roots and seek blessings for the past, present and future. Grateful for this profound experience that reminds us of our heritage. Jay Bholenath.”

Sanjay prayed for peace for the souls of his late parents, Sunil Dutt and Nargis, at the temple on Thursday.
Pind Dhan is a Hindu ritual that involves honoring the deceased. It is performed by relatives of the deceased at three sacred sites in Gaya: the Phalgu River, the Vishnupad Temple, and the Akshay Vat Tree. The ritual can take about two hours and can be completed in one day.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Sanjay will next be seen in the sci-fi horror comedy 'The Virgin Tree', which also stars Sunny Singh, Mouni Roy and Palak Tiwari in the lead roles.
Earlier, sharing more details about the film, Sanjay said: “I am delighted to be supporting the film, which was exactly the script I was looking for. The film is a perfect blend of comedy and horror, with the right balance between chills and thrills.” Very much so because I found a production partner in Deepak Mukut whose cinematic vision and ideals align with mine. I have always wanted to encourage new young talent in the industry and with this film, we are launching a new director with a new vision. He has assembled an eclectic cast and I wish them the best time and great filming in the future.”
