Due to the expected winter storm, parts of Lincoln County are experiencing dangerous road conditions and widespread power outages.

    • Keep you and your home safe:
      • Avoid traveling unless absolutely necessary.
        • Roads may be blocked by falling debris and public safety responders may not be able to reach you.
        • Some roads are closed.
          • Highway 18 from MP1 to MP8
          • Highway 229 from 101 to Siletz
          • Interstate 20 from Newport to Eddyville
        • Debris may continue to fall.
      • If your power goes out, stay warm:
        • Wear layers of light, warm clothing.
        • Close curtains or blinds and close rooms to retain heat.
        • Stuff towels or rags into cracks at the bottom of doors.
        • Eat and drink to provide energy for your body. Avoid caffeine and alcohol.
