Plan Tucson invites all community members to participate in our upcoming community forums, a critical step in updating the City's General Plan.
This long-term policy document is key to defining Tucson's future, addressing critical areas such as housing, transportation, climate action and growth.
Event details:
Virtual forum: Wednesday, January 17, 2024 from 5:30 pm to 7 pm
Personal forum: Saturday, January 20, 2024, from 10am to 12pm in the new Suite 2 office, 7820 E. Broadway Boulevard, Suite 100
Both events will have prizes, and the in-person event will include food and family-friendly activities.
These forums represent an opportunity for residents to provide feedback on draft goals and strategies that impact current and future plans and developments in Tucson.
Your input will also help update our future growth map, guiding where and what type of development is encouraged across the city.
Plan Tucson Community Forums aren't just about formulating policy – they're about building a community vision. The more feedback we receive, the better the plan reflects our shared values and aspirations.

Your voice matters in this community mapping activity for the future growth scenario
As we update the Tucson Plan, a key question is: How can we better plan for the city's growth and development? The future growth scenario map is a vital tool for achieving this purpose. Your input is essential to updating the map to reflect our community's vision.
Do you have ideas on where to promote new homes, retail or employment centres? Do you want a new store or sports stadium in your area? Your housing and development preferences are crucial.
Join the conversation and show us your vision in our mapping activity on the Plan Tucson website. The survey will close on Monday 5 February 2024.
Together, let's shape the Tucson of tomorrow.
