John Kerry will step down as Joe Biden's climate envoy this winter or early spring, according to Axios.
Kerry (80 years old) was appointed climate official under Joe Biden in November 2020 during the transition period.

Protecting the Public Trust (PPT) filed a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit in an attempt to obtain emails between John Kerry's office and various climate change groups.
Emails delivered to PPT from John Kerry's office were heavily redacted.
The name of one of the employees was not revealed.
Fox News obtained the documents from PPT.
“It does not appear to be in the public interest, in fact it appears to be the very antithesis of serving the public interest,” said PPT Director Michael Chamberlain. Fox News Digital.
Last July, Congressman Brian Mast asked John Kerry to identify senior staff members who work in his office at taxpayer expense.
Kerry refused to reveal his senior staff and threw himself into a tantrum after Rep. Mast pressured him to be transparent.
