Taipei, Taiwan – Media OutReach – October 3, 2023 – The much-anticipated “Taiwan Innotech Expo 2023 – Future Tech Pavilion” is set to make its debut on October 12-14 at Exhibition Hall 1 of the World Trade Center in Taipei. Jointly organized by the National Council for Science and Technology, Academia Sinica, the Ministry of Education, and the Ministry of Health and Welfare, the event aims to create a platform for international technology exchange. The exhibition will include four specialized technology areas, three main areas focusing on semiconductors, space technology, and precision health, an international TIE AWARD awards exhibition, and three prominent global forums.
The Global Trend Forums will address three main areas: semiconductors, space technology, and net zero technology. These forums will explore breakthroughs and innovations in the field of semiconductors, such as CMOS technology and integrated circuit design, providing insights into integrated circuit design opportunities from an innovative perspective. They will also address revolutionary innovations in space technology, with global experts from industry and academia discussing cutting-edge topics. In addition, the forums will focus on new opportunities in global net-zero technology and sustainable goals, and explore Taiwan's role in future-proofing in the era of net-zero technology.
The forums will begin with the Semiconductor Innovation Application Forum, featuring speakers such as Mr. Huang Yi-wei, Vice President of Strategy and Business Development of Realtek Semiconductor, and Mr. Giuseppe Izzo, Vice President of Asia Pacific Region of STMicroelectronics. After that, the topic of revolutionary innovations in space technology will continue, with the participation of special guests such as Mr. Yamakawa Hiroshi, President of the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA), Mr. Takayuki Kawai, General Manager of Business Development at Space One, and Mr. Wu Jong-shin, director of the National Space Organization. Finally, the forums will conclude with a discussion on key aspects of climate technology development, with a special presentation by Bill Liao, Partner at SOSV, a Silicon Valley venture capital firm, providing the perfect conclusion to the Future Technology Pavilion.
These international trend forums will bring together government officials, industry leaders and experienced scholars from local and international backgrounds to deliver engaging keynote speeches and engage in comprehensive discussions. They will explore global benchmark technology trends, examine how Taiwan and other countries are responding to environmental shifts, and discuss opportunities and challenges arising from emerging technology trends. Forums are currently open for enthusiastic participation, with online streaming options available. Follow us on Future Tech Pavilion fan page for more details.
The Future Technology Awards, organized by the National Science Council, attracted nearly 500 entries from academic institutions nationwide.
