American children may soon be banned from playing soccer by the same state that encourages permanent gender action in children | Critic portal

The state that allows pre-teens to receive dangerous transgender chemotherapy treatments, undergo permanently disfiguring surgeries to “confirm gender”, and allows them to opt for abortions without parental consent, is now looking to “protect” children by banning them from playing football .

California's far-left legislature, dominated by woke Democrats, is once again looking to ban soccer for kids, despite previous failures to pass such legislation.

Banning Youth from Soccer (Assembly Bill 734) would prevent any child under the age of 12 from joining a soccer team in private schools or leagues.

According to KCRA-TV, this is the third time Democratic Assemblyman Kevin McCarty of Sacramento has introduced the bill after two failures. Similar bills introduced in Illinois and New York to ban youth soccer also failed.

McCarthy claims there are plenty of other sports for children but banning it would “save lives”. So, banning it should be a no-brainer.

“There are certain things that are not safe for young people,” McCarty, a Democrat, told KCRA. “Buzzing your brains out for young children is not safe.

“It's a high school sport. It's going to be an Olympic sport. There's no way you can play a safe sport for 9, 10, 11-year-olds,” McCarty insisted of his efforts to save kids from themselves.

However, opponents of the bill say they have fought the ban several times and will continue to fight to overcome it.

“We've had to fight it three times, and I can tell you we will fight it again,” Sacramento Youth Soccer Commissioner Jay Earhart told the media.

Earhart added that the league has already established rules to reduce contact between young players and mandated better safety equipment.

“With over 9,000 kids last year, we had less than 20 kids go into the return-to-play protocol due to concussions,” he explained.

Earhart criticized the bill for eliminating opportunities for young people as well as taking away many of the life lessons that sports teach them.

“It would deprive children of their rights,” Earhart insisted. “These children in our communities that are needed most, our inner cities, our rural communities, are going to miss out on a lot, a lot of life lessons as well.”

Football has been a declining sport in California for nearly a decade, with participation down 18 percent between 2015 and 2022, but it will see a 5 percent jump in 2023. There are about 89,178 youth now playing football in the state, according to the Associated Press. Press. .

Parent Ashley Bertram – whose three sons aged 14 and under play football – criticized the bill, saying: “In the state of California, I get to choose whether my child lives or dies in the womb. But I can't decide what sport he plays.” ?

So far, AB 734 has cleared its first hurdle to become law by receiving a 5-2 vote in committee to allow the bill to be referred to the Assembly for a vote. The draft law has until the end of this month to approve it, otherwise it will not proceed during this session.

Meanwhile, California seems less concerned with the safety of children targeted by woke schools, Munchausen-trapped parents, and doctors and hospitals greedy to subject them to dangerous and permanently damaging transgender procedures.

Parents may end up being banned from allowing their children to choose to play football, but they are already legally prohibited from having a say in their children's confused transgender desires.

Ultimately, California legislators care little about protecting children's health, nor do they particularly care about parental rights. All they really care about is exercising the power to control everyone's daily lives.
