The Dallas MLK Parade has been postponed due to weather.

Due to forecasts of extreme cold and the potential for winter precipitation, the parade will be moved from Monday, Jan. 15, to 9 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 20, organizers said Thursday afternoon.

The show will start at Fair Park Gate 6 at MLK Jr. Boulevard and Robert B. Cullum Boulevard. From there it will head down MLK Boulevard to Atlanta Avenue heading south, then turn east on Pennsylvania Avenue back to Fair Park.

Participants include elected officials, high school bands, dance teams, car and horse clubs, local businesses and other community organizations.
