Taylor Sheridan, founder of Yellowstone, speaks out against cancel culture, calling it “the work of the devil,” while also saying we “need masculinity and femininity.”
Sheridan seems off
While being interviewed by popular podcast host Joe Rogan, Sheridan, 53, gave his views on the fall of American values. The two men watched a video of his 1965 monologue titled “If I Were the Devil: A Warning to America from Paul Harvey,” which they both found inspiring. The Daily Mail reported that the monologue criticized those who are “destroying” American culture by warning against “extremism and hard work.”
“You can use the devil as a euphemism for anything you want, but the result is the same. We're seeing that today,” Sheridan said, adding that today's “work ethic” is bad and “all that stuff is racist.”
Rogan responded by expressing his regret at accusations of masculinity being “toxic.”
“Oh, yeah, I've been accused of that,” Sheridan said, and Rogan laughed back and added, “Congratulations. I've been accused of that.” You are on the right side. “Defund the police” and “toxic masculinity” all belong to the same category of things. “It seems ridiculous to think that way.”
“You need all of that. You need masculinity and femininity,” Rogan said. “Be who you are but you need it. And if you want to tell these football-playing men that they're toxic masculinity…who else are you going to get? Who would play football other than very aggressive alpha males.
“That's not toxic,” Sheridan agreed, and Rogan added, “That's normal male behavior. It's not toxic. It's all stupid.”

Sheridan on liberalism
During this same interview, Sheridan referenced a book that revealed “the fundamental difference between liberalism and conservatism” and why these ideologies are “destined” to polarize more and more toward extremism, according to Fox News.
“Basically, it was said that the liberal view was that crime and all these social ills are a social construct, and that if you could find a way to equalize opportunity for everyone, crime would be eliminated, all these issues would go away,” he said. “Poverty would go away, all the diseases would go away.” We would suffer if everyone had the same opportunities and the same things.”
“The other side of that is the conservative view that says, 'There's evil in the world, there's good in the world, we're going to try to manage the evil as best we can and create an opportunity for people to succeed, or they can do it.'” f – and good luck. “It seems one “One side is naive, the other is very cruel, but these are the beliefs and this side can never compromise with this side and vice versa because you give up your own ideology.”

Rogan and Sheridan Slam California
Elsewhere in the interview, Rogan and Sheridan criticized California's liberal administration.
“You [the people running California] Sucks, you know you suck and when people leave you say, “Well, we still want the money.” No, we're leaving because you suck. “This is what states are for,” said Rogan, who left California for Texas. “You have to move to a new state and this state has different laws. I like this one better. Bye. We don't have an agreement. I'm not paying alimony. I wasn't married to you, you bitch. I have to go.”
“I got a random text from California. 'Are you sure you don't owe us any money?'” “I haven't lived there in 10 years, and I haven't lived in five years,” Sheridan agreed.
