Over the past several years, the U.S. Army has struggled to meet recruiting goals in all its branches, perhaps most importantly of all with the Army.
One reason for this has now been explained. White men no longer enlist in the numbers they did in the past.
Families that used to encourage young people to enlist are now doing so in much smaller numbers, for reasons that are clear to many. New vigilant policies, vaccine mandates, and the embrace of DEI have all contributed to this.
Military.com reports:
The Army is seeing a sharp decline in white recruits
Recruitment of white soldiers into the Army has declined significantly in the past half-decade, according to internal data reviewed by Military.com, a decline that accounts for much of the historic stagnation in recruiting into the service that has become a topic of growing concern for Army leadership and the Capitol. hill…
A total of 44,042 new Army recruits were classified as white in 2018, but that number has steadily declined each year to a low of 25,070 in 2023, with the 6% decline from 2022 to 2023 the most significant decline. No other demographic group has seen such a sharp decline, although there have been ups and downs from year to year.
In 2018, 56.4% of new recruits identified as white. In 2023, this number drops to 44%. During the same five-year period, the proportion of black enlistees rose from 20% to 24%, and the proportion of Hispanic enlistees rose from 17% to 24%, with both groups seeing enlistment totals largely flat but increasing as a percentage of incoming soldiers. With reduced white recruitment.
Conservative talk show host Jesse Kelly, a Marine Corps veteran, commented on Twitter/X:
My sons will not serve. I don't have a single veteran friend who encourages his children to serve. Most discourage them from doing so.
Send the Pride Brigade to fight your next ridiculous war for you. The “threats to democracy” are all over. https://t.co/jmXI6yiIRb

This feeling may be more widespread than many military leaders realize.
Democrats have politicized our armed forces, and there are consequences.
