New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers lashed out at ESPN after he was banned from “The Pat McAfee Show” for the remainder of the NFL season for suggesting that Jimmy Kimmel had affairs with the late billionaire Jeffrey Epstein.
Rodgers criticizes ESPN
Fox News reported that Kimmel threatened to sue Rodgers after he linked the liberal late-night host to Epstein during an appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show” last week.
“There are a lot of people, including Jimmy Kimmel, who really hope this doesn't happen,” Rodgers said. “I'll tell you, if this list comes up, I'll definitely open a bottle.”
While appearing on “The Pat McAffee Show” again on Tuesday, Rodgers said the statement then issued by ESPN senior vice president of production Mike Voss didn't really help the situation.
“I don't understand … Mike Voss' suspension because it didn't help either,” Rodgers said. “And I'll quote Mike Voss. He said, 'Aaron made a stupid, factually incorrect joke about Jimmy Kimmel.' That should never have happened. We all realized that at this point. Mike, you're not helping. 'You're not helping because I read Just exactly what I said earlier.”
“I feel like I made a statement about not wanting to be on a going-out list…” We realize that in this moment? ” what are you talking about?” he added.

Rodgers never called Kimmel a pedophile
Rodgers also noted that he never claimed Kimmel was a pedophile.
“I was referring to the fact that if there is a list, it hasn't been released yet,” Rodgers said. “There was just a affidavit, and there were names on it, and this would be the second time this soft-minded student, college freshman, weirdo, anti-vaxxer, anti-Semite, financier, disinformation spreader, conspiracy theorist, MAGA, or… any thing else”. “The things he and other people in the media said would be true twice over.”
“Let me just say, this is the truth, No. 1. No. 2, I completely understand how serious a child sexual abuse allegation is,” he continued. “So, for him to be upset about that, I understand that. Did you see the quote because that's exactly what I said? Verbatim. What I said on the show.”
Rodgers went on to say that he wasn't “stupid” enough to accuse Kimmel of pedophilia.
“I'm not stupid enough, even though you think I'm an idiot, and you've made a lot of comments about my intelligence. But I'm not stupid enough to accuse you of that without any evidence at all, or any concrete evidence.” “That's ridiculous.”
“I'm glad I think we can agree on something, one, that those crimes are heinous, and two, I'm glad you're not on the list because those who are on the list — that's what I think we can agree that, at the very least, should be “There is an investigation into their involvement.” “Especially if they go to the island. At the latest, there should be an investigation into the matter.”

Rodgers gets blocked
The next day, McAfee announced that Rodgers would not appear on his show again for the remainder of the NFL season.
“So Aaron Rodgers Tuesday: Season 4 is done,” McAfee said on Wednesday, according to the Daily Mail. “There will be a lot of people who will be happy with that, including me to be honest with you.”
“The way it ended, it became very loud,” he added. “I'm glad this won't be one of my references in the future, which is great news. Some of his ideas and opinions anger a lot of people.
